hey jaytim,
i would love a copy of the workshop manual (ill pay for the copies of course). I have a F50 scat, love it, its not going at the minute though, due to a dead radiator. Im trying to search for one, but thinking i will have to put a rocky radiator in it. ne ways, let me know about the manual,

Hi and thanks for the replies. Sorry about the delay, did not think anyone else was going to answer!
Yes thank you I would love a workshop manual copy. And I did not know that a 2.8 diesel would fit.
How does it go with the 4 speed? What revs does it do at 90kms and 100kms?
Thanks again for reply.
Lianne

We're also doing up a Daihatsu Scat (1978) but are having serious trouble finding parts (door locks, ignition barrel/lock, R hand door window winding mechanism). Just wondering if anyone knows if other year/model Daihatsu parts will fit ours? Its a great car with reconditioned engine, like new, but you have to drive it with a screwdriver!!
Thankyou,
Lucy.

Hi, I've just found this thread, I have a F60R 2.8 deisel Scat, I may need parts for the fuel pump as it idles quite high and cannot bring the revs down. Someone told me this is a common thing and comes from the fuel pump, does anyone have answers on this. Cheers.

Hi Scatmobile
How I eventually fixed the diesel pump problem was pulling it apart, getting a kit for it from a genuine toyota dealer. The kit comprised mostly of rubber 0 rings. But parts are almost impossible to find unfortunately. I needed a radiator hose for mine, and had to go through the entire range of hoses which took about 40 mins. In the end it was a commodore one that was the closest. Hope that helps a bit. Go to a good diesel mechanic for diesel pump info, they should be able to help.
